Dear Beau, Madison, and Logan,
I write to you all tonight with a heavy heart. Our families were neighbors while your were stationed here at Luke, and Lori has been terrific to keep up with us over the years. I have always loved your Christmas cards, pictures, and letters at holiday time. Beau, Madison and Logan, I can't even tell you how much we will miss Lori. Seeing you all this past weekend was bitter sweet. Lori's friendship was like no other. She was very honest about her feelings. That's why this is so hard for me to understand. I will forever miss her laugh, her thick Louisiana accent, of course her cooking, and most importantly her friendship. We are just hours away if you EVER need anything. Lori was my dearest friend. I loved her is so many ways. She was there for me through all my tough times early on and we were there for each other when you left for the Academy. I remember when she finally left to go to the Colorado to be with you I felt empty that both of my friends were now gone but I was also happy that my two dearest friends were together.
Lori was simply wonderful and gracious and strong and confident and in control. I was in awe of her humor and her heart. I will cherish all of our early years and be thankful that the Lord allowed us to spend the last few years together at your home on occasion.
I am broken as you, Madison and Logan are. You have been so strong for them all week and weekend but remember I told you over and over that you would never be alone. Just as Lori was there for everyone she knew, we are here for you and Logan and Madison. You are my best friend Beau. You have a piece of my heart as well.

Lori was such a great person. She was such a good friend. I got to know her pretty well while Madison took lessons from me. She always had a funny story to tell. Lori brought me dinner when Brody was born. She took our family to the airport and picked us up too. She was always willing to help a friend. She partied on the bus with us for my birthday this year. I will truly miss her. I know she loved her kids more than anything. She would tell me stories of Madison's pageants and Logan's sports games with the proudest look on her face. This is such a shock and I am so sorry for your loss. You and the kids are in our thoughts and hearts.

You and Madison and Logan are in our every thought right now. My heart just aches for all of you. The news finally broke in our little world, and it came on the very day of Lori’s funeral. I could not write anything yesterday, and even today, the words are so inadequate. I did find a photo taken on the day our movers came to our Misawa house. Madison is playing on the carpets we had hauled out to the curb. Lori’s just standing there with a big ‘ole smile on her face. And that is how I will always remember her.

She always took care of the staff working for her and wanted only to do the best for what ever venue she was working. When I said good bye at her last event she worked, we thought boy we are going to miss her little did we know it was truly good bye. I have just heard about Lori's passing and I am deeply saddened. She and I spent so many OSC function's together at Nellis and our time in the Thrift shop working and chatting was priceless. Working out in the Pool at Mandalay Bay with WeServe was alot of goodtimes. I will miss her vibrant personality and Spunk. She was a true friend and my heart goes out to all of you. Proverbs 17:17a reads "A friend loves at all times" and that's how she will be remembered to me. I will pray for you and the kids. I am sorry that I cannot make it to the funeral to be there to say good bye, but I will look up to heaven and tell her from here. God Bless.

lori and I worked together at we serve.We were like ying and yang where she was I was and where I was so was she. It will be very hard going to work without my buddy,I love her and will miss her smile,laughter and kind ways. As a Supervisor she was a great leader, as a Security guard she was a pillar of strength who was a force to be reaconed with. We drove to Hachinohe together twice a week for a year, and I felt a special connection with her. She was brave, honest, loyal and funny and just lots of fun to be with. I had the privilege of working with Lori at Planet Hollywood(mostly), we were supervisors together at We Serve. We always had some downtime before the staff came in and the conversations we had always turned to the three of you (or LSU, depending on the time of year). She spoke of you often and what you were all doing.

I heard the news today and am devestated for your family. I loved Lori for the unique person she was. But one thing you all must know is that I could always count on her..period. I had great comfort in knowing that she would be there in a moments noctice ready to give me her last dime or just assist me in any way she could. Lori had the most giving heart of anyone I know.
And please know this..she loved Madison and Logan more than anything. I know everything she has ever done has been for them.

I can't even begin to come up with words to express my sorrow for your loss. You and the children have been in my prayers since I received the news yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are also with all of the family that will be affected by this tragic loss. I spent a lot of time with Lori right after you met and you left out for basic training and got to know her well. While we lost touch after the two of you married I always thought about you and kept up with you through talking to others. I am so glad that the four of you were able to come to the house and swim the weekend of our reunion. Those will be the pleasant memories I will hold on to.
If there is anything in the world that I can do for you please do not hesitate to ask. I can only imagine how difficult the times ahead are going to be. I will continue to pray and will ask others to do the same.
