Dear Beau, Madison, and Logan,
I write to you all tonight with a heavy heart. Our families were neighbors while your were stationed here at Luke, and Lori has been terrific to keep up with us over the years. I have always loved your Christmas cards, pictures, and letters at holiday time. I am thinking of you all, and please know that you will always have a friend you can count on in your old Garden Lakes neighborhood here in Arizona. My prayers are with you all.

Beau, Madison and Logan, I can't even tell you how much we will miss Lori. Seeing you all this past weekend was bitter sweet. Lori's friendship was like no other. She was very honest about her feelings. That's why this is so hard for me to understand. I will forever miss her laugh, her thick Louisiana accent, of course her cooking, and most importantly her friendship. We are just hours away if you EVER need anything. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Deb and Dave Yachabach.
We are setting up something for Madison and Logan. If anyone would like more information please contact us.

Lori was my dearest friend. I loved her is so many ways. She was there for me through all my tough times early on and we were there for each other when you left for the Academy. I remember when she finally left to go to the Colorado to be with you I felt empty that both of my friends were now gone but I was also happy that my two dearest friends were together.

Lori was simply wonderful and gracious and strong and confident and in control. I was in awe of her humor and her heart. I will cherish all of our early years and be thankful that the Lord allowed us to spend the last few years together at your home on occasion.

I am broken as you, Madison and Logan are. You have been so strong for them all week and weekend but remember I told you over and over that you would never be alone. Just as Lori was there for everyone she knew, we are here for you and Logan and Madison. You are my best friend Beau. You have a piece of my heart as well.

Amanda and I love you and Madison and Logan. We will pray for you fervently and know we are here for you always.

Beau,
Lori was such a great person. She was such a good friend. I got to know her pretty well while Madison took lessons from me. She always had a funny story to tell. Lori brought me dinner when Brody was born. She took our family to the airport and picked us up too. She was always willing to help a friend. She partied on the bus with us for my birthday this year. I will truly miss her. I know she loved her kids more than anything. She would tell me stories of Madison's pageants and Logan's sports games with the proudest look on her face. This is such a shock and I am so sorry for your loss. You and the kids are in our thoughts and hearts.

Beau,
You and Madison and Logan are in our every thought right now. My heart just aches for all of you. The news finally broke in our little world, and it came on the very day of Lori’s funeral. I could not write anything yesterday, and even today, the words are so inadequate. I did find a photo taken on the day our movers came to our Misawa house. Madison is playing on the carpets we had hauled out to the curb. Lori’s just standing there with a big ‘ole smile on her face. And that is how I will always remember her.

Beau,
No words can express my deepest sorrow for you and your beautiful children. We are blessed that Lori’s smile and zest for life will live on through them. Although the world may seem out-of-control right now, remember that the Lord holds us especially close during these times. He is strongest when we are weakest. Lean on Him.

To Beau and the children, as well as the extended family, we send our deepest condolences upon hearing of Lori's passing. After reading the guestbook comments, it is evident that Lori affected many people in a positive way. We didn't know her well but enough to be affected by her lively personality. She had a wonderful spirit that will live on in our memories of her. God be with you all and give you comfort.

We wish words could somehow express our deepest sympathies during this time. We remember Lori from our first assignment in Japan--a beautiful woman who loved her family very much and took great pride in them. We'll miss that "Cajun seasoning" that our Air Force family and the world has lost. With love, RC & Linda

Beau, Madison & Logan,
I have just heard about Lori's passing and I am deeply saddened. She and I spent so many OSC function's together at Nellis and our time in the Thrift shop working and chatting was priceless. Working out in the Pool at Mandalay Bay with WeServe was alot of goodtimes. I will miss her vibrant personality and Spunk. She was a true friend and my heart goes out to all of you. Proverbs 17:17a reads "A friend loves at all times" and that's how she will be remembered to me. I will pray for you and the kids. I am sorry that I cannot make it to the funeral to be there to say good bye, but I will look up to heaven and tell her from here. God Bless.

These messages reveal the bond of military family and the pain of the loss of a sister. Lori's death is devastating to all she touched in her colorful, caring way. She introduced me to Red Velvet Cake. Comfort and peace may seem forever lost at this time. But the One who created and loves Lori is with you and He will restore your world of comfort, peace, and even joy. He knows pain and suffering and He provides the eternal love beyond our understanding. May the sweet memories uplift you Beau, Madison, and Logan.

Beau, Madison and Logan,
We feel your loss here in Las Vegas tremendously. Lori worked with us here at WeServe and brought rays of Sunshine to every event she was involved in. As a Supervisor she was a great leader, as a Security guard she was a pillar of strength who was a force to be reaconed with. She brought laughter into our lives and we are all going to hold onto our memories to keep this wonderful Lady with us. Lori spoke of all of you with such Zest and great Love. She touched all our lives, made us all feel special and we all loved her. Our Deepest Sympathy goes out to you and all your family for the devastating loss of this Amazing Wife, Mother, Daugther and Friend. We will truly miss Lori and will hold her in our hearts and you in our prayers.

We are deeply saddened by your loss. Lori was a bright light who radiated energy and love. We will always remember the fun she brought to the squadron at Eglin...and that good old cajun cooking! She did so much to help others and would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. Your family is in our prayers.

Beau, Logan, and Madison,
I am so saddened that I don't even know what to write. However, I want you and the kids to know that I loved Lori. She was always a great friend to me and to so many others. We drove to Hachinohe together twice a week for a year, and I felt a special connection with her. She was brave, honest, loyal and funny and just lots of fun to be with. I will miss her, and wish you love and hopefulness and strength.

Beau, Madison, Loran,

I had the privilege of working with Lori at Planet Hollywood(mostly), we were supervisors together at We Serve. We always had some downtime before the staff came in and the conversations we had always turned to the three of you (or LSU, depending on the time of year). She spoke of you often and what you were all doing.
I just wanted to offer my condolences and express my sorrow at your loss. Lori's memory will shine brightly in all of us.

Beau, Madison & Logan~

Words can't begin to express our sorrow at your loss. Lori was such a unique and honest person, whether you wanted to hear it or not :-) She would do whatever she could to make you feel welcome, one of the first people who had us to dinner in Misawa. She shared all of her antique shop finds with me before you all left Japan! Lori was a wonderful, kind, beautiful spirit. She will be looking over you all.

If there is anything we can do for you and the kids please let us know. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Beau, Madison & Logan,
Last year, while living in Las Vegas, I had the joy to work with Lori on numerous occasions at We Serve. We shared many conversations about subjects ranging from our families, childhoods, and of course, LSU! She was one of a kind and the world is truly a sadder place without her. Her time here on earth was definitely too short and I feel very, very lucky to have had the privilege to have known her. My family and I would like to express our deepest condolences. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Beau, Madison and Logan,

We were saddened to hear about Lori. She always made us laugh as she told us how she felt about people and other things in her life experiences. She told it like it was, and that's why we became such great friends. We'll miss how gracious she was as she would not hesitate to have us stay for some good old cajun cookin' when we were in town.
Remember the great times you had together and again we are sorry about your loss. If there is anything we can do, please call.

Beau, Madison and Logan;
Your extended family here in Las Vegas is hurting the hurt with you all. After speaking with you, Beau, on tuesday, my thoughts as well as Bruce's thoughts are of you all. Lori will be greatly missed and the void she left is huge. She was spunky, sassy and so loveable that all of us want to express to you that we are all better people for knowing her.
On the 18th when we parted I did not tell her goodbye, I just said, see ya later, I will be there on Monday to tell my friend good bye. My heart breaks for you all. I loved Lori and I miss her. Please know the family here in Las Vegas sends our deepest sympathy. Lori was a genuine and rare gem. When she talked of her love for you, Madison and Logan she glowed. We will pray for your continued strength in the days to come.

Words can't express the feelings that all who have know your family have for your loss. Lori was an amazing person who touched everyone she met...from stranger to close friend. We'll always remember the early years at Misawa and the fun that we all had there.

Shelley remembers all the times where Lori had Madison w/her around the base and how they both were always laughing and giggling at each other.

I heard the news today and am devestated for your family. I loved Lori for the unique person she was. But one thing you all must know is that I could always count on her..period. I had great comfort in knowing that she would be there in a moments noctice ready to give me her last dime or just assist me in any way she could. Lori had the most giving heart of anyone I know.
And please know this..she loved Madison and Logan more than anything. I know everything she has ever done has been for them.
Beau..I want to be there for you and the kids. Please let me know if I can help. I plan on attending the services as soon as I can find out when they are.
I am praying for you and Lori.

Beau,

I can't even begin to come up with words to express my sorrow for your loss. You and the children have been in my prayers since I received the news yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are also with all of the family that will be affected by this tragic loss. I spent a lot of time with Lori right after you met and you left out for basic training and got to know her well. While we lost touch after the two of you married I always thought about you and kept up with you through talking to others. I am so glad that the four of you were able to come to the house and swim the weekend of our reunion. Those will be the pleasant memories I will hold on to.

If there is anything in the world that I can do for you please do not hesitate to ask. I can only imagine how difficult the times ahead are going to be. I will continue to pray and will ask others to do the same.

Love Erik Burns
