Melanie Bordelon "Nanny Mel" LeBlanc passed away at Ochsner Iberville on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the age of 68. She was a Loan Processor with Plaquemine Bank; resident of Plaquemine and native of White Castle, LA. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 5 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 8 am to 9:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine at 10 am. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Melanie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ronnie LeBlanc; sons, Jason Dufour and wife Alicia, and Shannon LeBlanc and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe and Willow Dufour, Bryce and Ali LeBlanc, Anna Stafford and Ava Carter; great-grandchild, Arlyn; siblings, Gaston "Louis" Bordelon, III and wife Ellen, Mark Bordelon and wife Patricia, John Wayne Bordelon, Brian Bordelon and wife Christie, and Catherine Richard and husband Joe; beloved Rascal; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Louis, Jr. and Shirley Dawson Bordelon; brother, Gary Bordelon; and sister-in-law, Caroline Bordelon. Pallbearers will be Louis, Mark, John Wayne, and Brian Bordelon, Bryce LeBlanc, Dakota Richard, and Christopher Bordelon. Melanie loved fishing, crafting for her craft shows, crocheting and crabbing.
