Dear Mrs. Marie, Mike, Warren and Brent; It was with deep, heartfelt sorrow that I learned of Mr. Mike's death. Unfortunately, I only found out today and missed all of the services. You know I would have been there to offer my condolences in person; and I plan on visiting Mrs. Marie when she is up to it. (I have been very preoccupied with nursing school and not keeping up with reading the newspaper.)
I have such fond memories of Mr. Mike, especially coming to "visit" Warren at the Gulf Station and always chatting with Mr. Mike and Mrs. Marie, even when Warren was not there. I remember how excited my mother was when Warren and I started dating, because she had such a fondness and respect for Mr. Mike herself. Faye Capone was mother's best friend and mom would always look forward to the times Mr. Mike would be at Faye's house when she was visiting.
Please know that you all are in my prayers as is Mr. Capone. However, I will now call on him to help me - and perhaps he will forgive me for not coming to see him more often. I think the last time I saw him, he was dancing the night away with his lovely wife. Now he is dancing with angels.
With love and my deepest sympathy to you all, Respectfully, Tara Nolan Messenger

Ms. Marie, Michael, Warren and Brent: I have so many memories of growing up next door to you and your family. Mr. Mike was so good to all of us. One thing I never forgot was on Saturday mornings no on needed an alarm clock because next door Mr. Mike was faithfully on the lawnmower and using the blower. When Mother was sick, he would come over to fix something or blow off the leaves on her patio. And when we were teenagers, how many times we rushed with our car problems to his station and he always took care of us. Even my sister Judy has a story of my dad accidently throwing a cigarette in the backseat of his car and telling Judy to bring it to Mr. Mike while it was smoking. Of course, he took care of that too. My boys, Christopher and Michael knew Mr. Mike from being at Mothers house all the time. We will all miss him. Love always to you all, Mary Ann, Chistopher and Michael Adams
