Samuel,
I am Collette Diez and am the one who met you at the end of the funeral and gave you the little resin praying lambs for you and your family. I have a heart for grieving parents and their families and will be praying for you and your family daily for the next 5 years, some of these days with fasting. I am also part of a team based out of The Church in St. Amant called "Healing Heavy Hearts". We have a "Gathering of Grievers" meeting every 2nd Tuesday at Chef KD's 38278 Hwy 74 Gonzales from 6:30 - 8PM and provide a small meal. Please feel free to attend anytime. You are always welcome. One of our pastors is a grieving father whose teenaged daughter went to Heaven. He is available any time you want to talk to someone who shares a similar heartache. We would also like to provide you with a set of booklets called "Journeying Through Grief" throughout this first year. The first booklet is due now, the 2nd in 3 months, the 3rd in 6 months and the final one in 11 months. I am going to bring them to Father Eric in hopes that he can get them to you. Mr. Barker,
My most sincere condolences on your unfathomable loss. Samantha & yourself became, for me, radiant faces of faith, hope, and love during my time ministering to, and getting to know you guys at St. Jude. I realize that no cliché can alleviate the pain of this tragedy so to say- however true- that "You will be in my prayers," just doesn't seem good enough. St. Samantha (because you & I both know that is what she is) has pleased Our Lord by her life & now enjoys His eternal life. To the Barker family, I had the pleasure of teaching Samantha at AC and she was such a sweet young lady. Always had a smile in class. She was also on the dance team st AC with my daughter Alison. We were so broken hearted when we heard she had lost her battle with cancer. May you find comfort in your memories of Samantha. We are praying for you.

I worked with the dance team at ACHS for Mrs Joanie for many years and through this time developed a sincere love and respect for Mrs Joanie and all of her girls. It was more than just a high school dance team....it was a family and each student contributed their own loving and special excellence to this organization. Many wonderful memories .....

Sam, my heart is broken for the passing of Samantha. Sam and family, I was so saddened to hear about Sammath's passing. Sam. I'm going to miss seeing you and Samatha at St. Jude and it happened so suddenly I wished I had a chance to say good-bye. You always had time to listen to me and a shoulder to cry on even when you were going through so much with your own. I'm so glad I had the pleasure of meeting Samatha she was so strong just like her dad. Even though I only knew you and Samatha a short while you guys will always have a special place in my heart.
