To Thomas and all the Easterly family, my husband John and I praise God for a life well lived and pray for your peace and comfort. It is a hard thing to lose a loved one, even when you know they are with the Lord. Here is an early 19th-century epitaph from a cemetery in rural Pennsylvania, which I hope will encourage your hearts:
"Weep not for me, my friends,
But wipe your tears away,
For you shall see me yet again
On the resurrection day."
With love from an aunt and uncle.

Mr. Alton, Shelby, Julie, John, Thomas and families, I just wanted to let you'll know that I have been thinking and praying for you to get through this difficult time. Ms. Sarah was truly one of a kind lady. She truly had a way with words and never failed to say what she wanted. She could be so funny at times and gave Mr. Alton a run for his money. I will truly miss her. I know this is a difficult time for your family because no matter what age, we are never ready to let a loved one go. I will keep you'll in my prayers. If there is anything that I can do for anyone, please don't hesitate to call me. Love, Cindy

Julie and family,
I know what you're feeling right now with the loss of your mother since losing mine just a few months ago. Be comforted by the memories you have and know they will always be with you. I know Daddy and Mama (Bill and Bettye) enjoyed their friendship with your mom and dad, and working with all of you in 4H. I know they are rejoicing in heaven today! Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
