I still think about Dr. Fontenot and what a great vet and a great person he was. If my little pug was his only boarder, he would take her home with him. How amazing is that?

I am sorry to hear that Dr. Fontenot is gone. He was our vet for many years and I considered him a friend as well. He was what a vet was supposed to be he didn't just hand out pills, he taught you as he went. He thought outside the box. We went through some bad times together but we went through them with laughter as well. Have not seen him since they moved from B.R. but think of him often

Laura, your Father was my vet in Baton Rouge for at least 30 years. I remember the first time Dr. Helouin had too many patients, so I agreed to see Dr. Fontenot. He was so understanding and patient with my big, bad German Shepherd that he became our vet until he and Debbie moved away. His great sense of humor always helped in a bad situation, also. We've lost someone very special. Love to you and your family.

Doc I am going to miss you, it was a pleasure having you as a neighbor and friend. I'm still in denial that you are not hear anymore. I keep looking across the street for you and I'll miss you honking the horn every time you would leave. I'll treasure all the stories we shared in the past. Rest in peace my friend.
