I had the Pleasure of working for Mr. Borne in 1991 when his company's name was Analytical Medical Enterprise (AME Nursing). If Company Owners Today could care for their workers the way Mr. Borne cared for his, NO ONE would have a complaint in the World. I was Hired as a Staffing Coordinator, with No Experience, but the Entire Baton Rouge Staff made sure you recognized and knew the importance of your role in a Dream that was Larger than Life. They made you FEEL like you had a Degree when All you had was a desire to Learn! To this day when I talk to the Younger Generation about work Ethics, I still Refer to my Opportunity to be apart of Bill Borne's Dream as One of my Greatest Experiences. Mr. Borne touched so many Lives and his LEGACY WILL LIVE ON FOREVER. God Bless the Entire Borne Family

I'm a much better person for having known him and having the privilege to work for him. I honestly don't know of a better man that I've ever had the privilege of knowing.

On this anniversary of Bill's death, I have reflected again on the impact that Bill not only made on my life, but on the lives of my family, so many friends, employees, and patients.

Bill comes to my mind many times during the course of my life, and I give thanks that I had the opportunity to work for him, and I am also thankful for his vision and his mission.

To the Borne Family,

Bill was a wonderful man and literally helped millions of people on this earth. I am so glad I had the chance to call him my friend and mentor. I learned so much from him and he made me a better man.

He founded and built one of the best companies in the world with a SPIRIT that will live forever. He was starting his next journey to help the healthcare system of the United States.

There are countless stories of Bill selflessly helping people in need all across this country. We are all better for having him in our lives - he made us better people. He made us care for each other and try to help each other everyday. He constantly was coaching, mentoring, and helping people make a difference in this world. He loved his family and was a man of honor and integrity.

He is a guardian angel watching over all of us now, I miss his laugh and talking to him everyday but I know he is watching over all of us now and will try to live the rest of my life in honor of him.

Bill was a great man and motivator. When I was a new AVP with Amedisys, he personally stopped, while on the phone with a board member, put him on hold and introduced himself, and asked about ME, along with a warm welcome.

Generous, charismatic, great human being and excellent leader.

Great memories and he will be missed.

Wendy and the entire Borne family,
It has taken me a bit to gather the fortitude to write this tribute after the shock.
I worked for Bill for about ten years and knew him for fourteen years. Never have I had the experience of witnessing such magnetism, passion and lightning in one person, such as with Bill. His faith in God, family, friends and company was un paralleled. I consider it an honor in life to have known him well.
Both Cissy and I loved and respected Bill with all our hearts and we now pray for all of you in this time of grief.
The heavens have opened wide for Bill Borne. That I know for sure.

When Bill first came to Vacherie, he was a ball of energy---he never changed. Our friendship began with a crawfish pond, evolved into his "a la carte" business with the Revere boys of Pierre Part--and this was sideline business. We spent many hours together,Bill n his dad "Chief", at my kitchen table, on the farm, on the pond levees---him n his Kubota tractor ----last time I saw him was for his Dad's funeral. He gave me a dvd he made of him n his dad----Bill was a great guy---they don't come any better. I am glad that I knew him.----Ronald Scioneaux, Vacherie.

Wendy and family, I had the privilege of working with Bill and meeting you in the early days of Amedisys (1998-2003). It was an honor that I remember fondly and was delighted to see and talk with Bill in the years since. He was always just "Bill." A regular guy who was quick and proud to present himself as a nurse as well as leader. One of the greatest memories I have of Bill was the time he spent his family during the illness of his mother. He took the time to make sure his family came first. It is very telling that he passed while trying to help others. I pray that God wraps his loving arms around y'all giving you peace while your husband/father looks down on you from his heavenly home.

I remember going to Knoxville when Amedisys took over our company and bought employees up to stay overnight to attend a meeting next day to learn about his company. Me and another coworker got to hotel that night and was sitting in the lobby and in walks Bill and he just hung out with us and talk to us for the longest time. He didn't act like he didn't want to stick around and that is when we knew this man is going to be great to work for. He took time out for 2 people he didnt even know yet, but he took out time for us to say hello and to ask how we like our job and then just small talk to laughter. I am so glad I got the chance to meet him. May God bless each and everyone of you for the loss of a good man. My prayers are with each and every one of you.

My prayers to the family and many friends. I had a great opportunity to meet him and to hear his touching testimony. He believed in giving and never giving up. Amedisys became my family when I moved to Louisiana, and I will for ever thank Bill for bringing his dreams into reality. God bless you,

Bill Borne is the reason I worked for Amedisys for 8 years... He was such a inspiration and such a caring man!!? I loved him and Larry Graham !!! I will be praying for you and your family... I know how it is to loose a father suddenly....it is awful and very hard I will not lie...god and your friends and family will get you thru this awful time! Please remember all the things he did for others and there was no other way but the right way! ! Heaven truy has a angle! B

My sincerest condolences to the family. May your memories of your dad and husband comfort you at this time. I was fortunate enough to meet Bill a few times during orientation and the annual leadership meetings during the four years I was with Amedisys. His presence was larger than life and he always treated people like they were family and not just employees. He was a true visionary and many peoples' lives were enriched by him through his company. I was so sorry to hear what happened. Heaven gained a special angel today. Blessings to you all.

Amedisys hasn't been the same since Bill left and will never be the same again. He was such a GOD-fearing man and his presence will truly be missed. I will cherish my rock that he gave to each one of us when he returned from Jerusalem. Family, you have my deepest sympathy.
