David Fromme Obituary

David Wayne Fromme, Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at the age of 82 in his hometown of Antlers. Born on May 15, 1942, to William "Bill" and Viola Fromme, David's life was a testament to his strong will, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to his family and country. David attended local schools in Antlers before answering the call to serve his nation in the Army Reserves. During his military service, David embarked on a lifelong companionship by marrying the love of his life, Peggy Brewer, on September 26, 1963, in Hugo. Together, they built a loving family and made a home where the door was always open, and the laughter never ceased. David and Peggy's enduring union was blessed with wonderful children: David Wayne Fromme, Jr., Mark Fromme, and Michael Fromme, who, along with his wife Melissa, share the family's hometown values. David took immense pride in the achievements of his children, who followed in his footsteps of integrity and kindness. David's skills with his hands led him to a career as a talented carpenter, which allowed him to provide for his family while doing what he loved. He was a devout member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, where he served faithfully and found great comfort in his faith. David's interests extended beyond the pews of the church. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending countless hours fishing, working with cattle, and riding his horse across the Oklahoma landscapes he revered. Yet, above all, David's greatest joy came from being surrounded by his family, whom he loved unconditionally. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, brother William Lynn Fromme, and grandchild Brandon Fromme. David's life was further enriched by a host of grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of love and family values. These include Melissa Ann Johnston and husband Nick of Pasadena, TX, Justin Fromme and wife Charlsey of Claremore, Gregory Fromme and Casey of Lane, Jeffrey Fromme and wife Marissa of Claremore, Jeremy Fromme of Claremore, David Blake Fromme of Antlers, Wayne Fromme of Antlers, Victoria Doctors and husband Chuck of Antlers, Clay Fromme of McAlester, Ashley Taylor and husband Ryan of Quinton, Corinne Fromme of Corpus Christi, TX, Chase Fromme of Clayton, Dakota Fromme and Elaine Lester of Antlers, and Mason Fromme of Antlers, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. His memory will also be treasured by his siblings Agnes Wall, Catherine "Kay" Breshears and husband Dan, and Judy Price and husband Rodger. Family night was held Tuesday April 1, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary following at 7:00 p.m. at the Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma. Services for David were held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday April 2, 2025 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Antlers, with Father Todd Nance officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons: Justin Fromme, Gregory Fromme, Jeffrey Fromme, Jeremy Fromme, Dakota Fromme and Mason Fromme. Honorary pallbearers were Melissa Ann Johnston, Nick Johnston, Chase Fromme, Elaine Lester and Weston Lester. Services entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
