Mary Flenniken Obituary
Ms. Flenniken was a Godly woman who loved her family and was well known amongst family and friends as a Prayer Warrior. She loved serving the Lord and was a proud and faithful member of Victory Baptist for nearly 20 years where she remained active until her health started to decline.
Ms. Flenniken is preceded in death by her parents, William Archie Johnston and Lula Mae Hagler Johnston; husbands, Hubert Edmund Ritchie Jr. and Bobby Wilson Flenniken; daughter, Gertrude Elizabeth "Trudy" Hammett; and siblings, Cletus Colin Johnston, Bleeka Vivian Dennis Hubbell, and Geurald Wallace Johnston. She is survived by her children, Linda Ruth (Dallas) Martin of Beech Island SC, Hubert Edmund "Eddie" Ritchie III of Fayetteville NC, Mary Bleeka "Bee Bee" Warner of North Augusta SC, and Margaret Lynn Jackson of Augusta GA; her grandchildren Jason (Wendy) Martin, Ceilia (Russell) Owens, Wayne (Krista) Hammett, Coni Wilson, Brittany (Edward) Murray, Beth (Jim) Collier, Mary (Patrick) Meffert, Joshua (Julie) Warner, Jennifer (Brett) Johnson, Amber Jackson, Reginald Jackson Jr, and Christa Jackson; 36 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild along with numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she cherished.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home located at 2524 Lumpkin Road; Augusta, GA 30906 with Pastor Keith Bartlett of Victory Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home starting at 1:00pm (one hour before the service) during visitation.
To honor Ms. Flenniken, in lieu of flowers please make a donation to either Victory Baptist Church 620 W. Martintown Rd; North Augusta, SC 29841 or Garden City Rescue Mission 828 Fenwick St; Augusta, GA 30901.
