Stephen McKnight Obituary

Stephen Alexander McKnight, 74, made heaven his home on Thursday, July 6, 2023.

Stephen Alexander McKnight was born on April 7, 1949, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Henry McKnight and Daisy Fearon. He attended Mico Teachers College and taught for about 15 years. He was also a principal at a school in Manchester, Jamaica. Stephen moved to the United States in 1987, where he began a career as a bus driver in Texas and New York. Stephen later moved to Augusta, Georgia. He was a member of Word Alive International Ministries as a born again Christian. Stephen loved traditional country music, old western television shows, white t-shirts, and all things Jamaican.

Stephen is preceded in death by his mother and father; and his sister, Pearl Howell. He is survived by his children, Raymond McKnight, Sean McKnight, Andrew McKnight, and Andrea Walford (McKnight) from previous relationships. Stephen is also survived by Karlene Brown (married in 1974) and they had two children, Maria (Johnson) and Shevanne McKnight. Stephen is also survived by his brothers, Charles Howell, Calvin Howell, Albert Howell; and his sisters, Beverly Howell, Velma Howell, and Jacqueline Howell.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Word Alive International Ministries, 1920 Tubman Home Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
