Brenda J. Hoben

Brenda Joy Hoben, 72, of Elkridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 6, 1952, in Baltimore, MD to the late Fred Neal Rhodes and Vivian Ridgley Rhodes. She was the loving wife of Edward Joseph Hoben. Brenda worked as a waitress for White Coffee Pot, Baltimore in her younger years. She then went on to work with Silver Top Awnings, White Marsh. She then was a caregiver and did housekeeping in her community. She was a woman of faith and Godmother. Brenda and her husband loved to go dancing at the Westminster Moose Lodge and travel, especially to Ocean City, MD. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She also loved flowers and butterflies. Surviving in addition to her husband are son and daughter-in-law James and Stephanie Trout of Elkridge and brother Michael Rhodes of Perry Hall, sister Robin Dumler of White Marsh and grandsons: Connor, Dylan and Austin Trout. She was predeceased by siblings William Rhodes, Chris Rhodes and Pearl LeBrun. The family will receive friends from 11AM to 12 PM on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will follow at 12 PM.
