Charles R. "Bob" Mullinix

Charles Robert "Bob" Mullinix, age 92, of Sykesville, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at home. He was born on October 27, 1932, in Glenelg, MD to the late Carroll Mullinix and Mary Britton Mullinix. He was the devoted husband to the late Nancy Lee (Dorsey) Mullinix. Bob retired as a field supervisor from the Columbia Association. Bob also helped with his son's school bus company. Working with special needs students as a substitute bus assistant. Bob loved being outdoors working in his yard, garden and flower beds. Bob was a long-time member of St. James United Methodist Church in Marriottsville. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Robert "Wayne" and Mariellen Mullinix of Dayton, MD, Brian and Ann Mullinix of Masontown, WV and Keith Mullinix of Sykesville; brother Joseph Mullinix. He is predeceased by brother, Thomas Edward Mullinix; sisters, Mary Ellis Stonesifer and Evelyn Mae Wessel. He is survived by grandsons, Jason Mullinix and Jonathan Mullinix. He is also survived by great grandchildren, Ava, Jaslyn, Vivian, Cooper, Grace and James Mullinix. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, with his pastor, Rev. Patricia Abell officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. View Cemetery, Marriottsville, MD.
