Felicia Neuman Obituary

Felicia McDevitt Neuman, DVM Felicia McDevitt Neuman, DVM of Glenelg, MD 62, passed peacefully on September 26, 2025, at home surrounded by family. She was a 1988 graduate of Texas A & M University College of Veterinary Medicine and the founder of Summit Animal Hospital with her husband in 2015. Felicia was a brilliant veterinary professional, but she truly shone as a wife, mother and friend. Always present, devoted, and up for anything, her family was her priority and her pride and joy. Felicia will be remembered for her boundless love, joyful spirit, ready laugh, the sparkle in her eyes, and her infinite compassion for others. She had an uncanny ability to make people feel special, safe and seen. She was adored by all, continuously creating memorable moments and making the ordinary feel extraordinary. Her greatest legacy will be the love she gave which will remain as a gift for all who miss her. Felicia is survived by Jeffrey, her loving husband of 35 years, her son, Jeffrey, Jr. and his fiancée Meriam, son Matthew, and son Keller and his significant other, Olivia. She is also survived by her loving siblings Kristin Baird, Michael McDevitt, and their families; she adored her siblings and delighted in their families. She is recalled fondly by the many families and their animals who were her clients over the years. A celebration of Felicia's life will be held at a future date. The family request that in lieu of gifts or flowers, friends honor Felicia's legacy by contributing to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. I worked with Felicia in the late 90s/early 2000s when she was at the old Animal Emergency Center in Timonium and I was a tech in the referral surgery practice. She was an amazing diagnostician! Incredibly thorough and methodical in her ability to treat patients in the middle of a very, very busy critical care setting. I was so glad to see her become a practice owner at Summit and just referred a friend to her earlier this year. I'm so sad that she's gone.

Dr. Neuman Very warm and sensitive lady . You knew she had a genuine love of animals and compassion for others when struggling with the loss or illness of their pets . I loved her entire family and was privileged to meet all of them during one of my pets chronic illness. I am going to miss her dearly when I have to return for appointments. I have and will continue praying for the Healing for what I know is a huge heartache for her family.

We miss you Felicia Neuman! My dog was one of your patients and he will miss your loving care. She was one of the best vets around, she was patient and caring. She always took the time to listen to my concerns and explain. She was full of wisdom and I could tell she had a lot of experience around dogs. She seemed to really have a passion for her patients and I felt like my pets were safe in her hands. She was always smiling. I did not know Felicia personally other than being one of her clients but I could tell by the way she treated animals and us that she had a heart of gold. I will truly miss her and so will Rainy. My heart goes out to her family.

Dr. Newman will be greatly missed. I always enjoyed seeing her. She has been with us from the start with my four fur babies and she has been tremendously helpful and supportive. I feel lost without her. We were friends from the lacrosse days. We sat together watching the games. I considered her my friend. My most sincere condolences go out to her family, particularly Jeff and her boys... words don't come close to expressing my sorrow and hope that they find peace in knowing she is always present in their hearts and memories. She is missed by many.

My heart is very heavy for learning of Dr. Neuman's passing. She was so kind and caring to me as well as my two precious dogs. We began seeing her for my first Pom, who she caringly helped cross the Rainbow Bridge. She then cared for my new baby and we stopped in to say hello whenever I visited from Ohio. My sincerest condolences to Dr. Neuman's family and friends. She was a very special person that was taken way too soon.

During the pandemic Dr. Neuman was very kind to our family. When our pet needed to cross over our regular vet would not allow us to be with him. Dr. Neuman was very accommodating and took us on as a new client. She was a very caring person. She will be missed.
