It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerald N. McLyman Sr., a beloved, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed from this life on August 7, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on July 9, 1941, in Maryland, Gerald spent his life dedicated to his family and work as a firefighter.
Gerald is the beloved husband of the late Catherine McLyman, who held a special place in his heart and memories. He leaves behind a legacy through his children Shawn McLyman, Gerald McLyman Jr., Sidney Glover, Robert Glover, and Dwayne Glover, along with a host of beloved grandchildren. Gerald will be remembered for his warmth by his dear friends Amanda Mertens and Justin Sisler, who were significant parts of his life.
The public is invited to pay their respects during the visitation held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and again on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Graveside Service at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
As we remember Gerald, we hold tight to the memories and love he imparted on those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
