John Cero Obituary

John Robert Cero, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Born in Baltimore to the late Thomas A. and Evelyn (Miller) Cero; beloved husband of Anita (Howard) Cero. A natural extrovert, he possessed a talent for making friends and turning any situation into a party. He approached every day as a new adventure, a quality that inspired all who knew him. John attended St. Elizabeth School and Mount St. Joseph's High School and went on to a successful career as a salesman at Baltimore Door and Frame Company in Baltimore County. He was known for his good sense of humor, his ability to tell stories and his mischievous grin. Known for his infectious laughter and unshakable optimism, he brought a ray of sunshine into the lives of everyone he met. His obsession for Baseball led him to coach Little League Baseball and becoming an umpire, umpiring countless games for years. He was a passionate outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hunting and especially fishing. John was a true bookworm, spending many hours soaking in the bathtub with his favorite novel. He was a member of the VFW. John was a devoted husband to his wife Anita, a loving father to John Paul Cero and Anna Cero Neuman and her husband Matthew, stepfather to Amy Teluk and her husband Michael a doting and proud grandfather to Sarah Cero and Conner Neuman, step-grandfather to Caitlin, Alex, Brianna and Aiden Teluk and brother to Thomas Cero, Mary Ann Mank, Teresa Thacker and William Cero, brother in law to Alan Thacker and Gerthie Cero and loving uncle to Thomas and Anthony, Lisa Cero, and Amy, Rebecca and Ethan Thacker and Gabriel Cero and as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. We will forever cherish John's memory and the joy he brought to all our lives; earth lost a good man however Heaven gained a great Angel. Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 1:00-4:00 PM, in the family-owned Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 7527 Harford Rd, Parkville/Northeast Baltimore.
