Michael Linder Obituary
Mike is the son of Hilary Francis Linder Ill and Rita Gaiser Linder. He was raised in Memphis, Tennessee, attended St. Louis Catholic School, Christian Brothers High School, and Christian Brothers College (CBC) in Memphis. After graduating with a Chemical Engineering degree in 1983, he was employed as a civil servant by the U.S. Army in Aberdeen, Maryland for more than 20 years.
He was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and served as a 4th degree Knight of Columbus in Joppa, Maryland. He was also quite active with the Maryland libertarian Party and the Save-A-Patriot Fellowship in Maryland.
Mike is survived by his parents, Hilary and Rita Linder of Memphis, sister, Anne Larson, of Rohrersville, Maryland and brother, Edward Linder, of Memphis and 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews He was predeceased by his brother. Timothy Linder, and sister, Julie Winkler (Mike), both of Memphis.
There will be a Memorial Mass celebrated for Mike at St. Louis Catholic Church in Memphis on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM. There will also be a Memorial Mass celebrated for Mike at his parish, Church of the Holy Spirit in Joppa, Maryland, on Saturday, March 22, at11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joppa chapter of the Knights of Columbus or to Birthright of Memphis., Inc.

I was in the CBHS graduating class of 1979 with Mike Linder. It's hard to believe that Mike and I started CBHS 50 years ago this August.
I recall that Mike was in a lot of the advanced placement (AP) classes, so I didn't get to know him well. However, I remember that he was a respected student and class member.
I'm saddened to learn of Mike's passing, apparently from health issues resulting from a fall in December 2024.
To Mike's friends and family, know that Mike made a difference in this world. He had the respect of the faculty and students at CBHS and, based on his obituary, had made an impact in his local community in Joppa, MD.
Mike was, as we would say at CBHS, a "Brother's Boy" in the truest sense of the term: A loyal and devoted friend and a confidant to those who needed his advice and counsel.
