It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shannon Lea Manning, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Born on October 29, 1973, in Baltimore, Maryland, Shannon departed this world on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in her cherished home in Pasadena, Maryland.
Shannon was the treasured daughter of William Williams, Sr. and Brenda Parker, and the devoted sister of William Williams, Jr. and his wife Britt Williams She leaves behind her loving husband of 31 years, Robert Manning, her son, Joshua William Manning, and her daughter, Karla Elizabeth Manning, her nieces Hunter and Grayson Williams. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and her love for them was boundless and unconditional.
As a dedicated homemaker, Shannon embraced the opportunity to homeschool her children, nurturing their growth and development with love and care. She occasionally took on part-time jobs, not just to keep her busy, but to fund her deep commitment to charitable causes close to her heart. Her generosity and selflessness benefitted numerous charities, reflecting her empathy and caring spirit.
Shannon's passions extended into a rich world of crafts, including quilting, cross-stitching, and wreath-making. Her talents were not limited to crafts, as she also delighted in cooking and baking, with a particular flair for cake decorating. Her warmth and creativity were infectious, and those who knew her would attest to her unmatched kindness and sweetness.
A lifelong animal lover, Shannon cherished her canine companions, Diego and Moana, who were members of her family in every way. Her life was further enriched by her lifelong friendship with Mary Fletcher, her best friend since birth, with whom she shared countless adventures and memories.
Shannon's departure leaves a significant void in the hearts of all who knew her. In memory of her, the family requests that donations be made to a
charity of your choice in Shannon's name, continuing her legacy of giving and compassion.
Her family invites all who knew Shannon to join them in honoring and celebrating her remarkable life. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home where funeral service will take place at 4:00 pm. Interment will take place at a later date at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
Shannon Lea Manning will forever be remembered for her kindness, love, and the positive impact she left upon this world. Her spirit will remain with us, guiding and inspiring those who were privileged to know her.
