Carl K. Clay

Carl K. Clay, 86, of Sherwood, Ark., where he resided with his daughter, Jo Ann Clay, went to be with our Lord Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014.
He was born in Green Forest, Ark., to the late William and Addie Clay of Oklahoma.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Carl Kenneth Clay, Jr.; he was married to Avis Yarbrough Clay for 53 years.
Carl retired from the U.S. Air Force after 27 years of service. He was a weather forecaster and observer in Japan, the Philippines and State side including Alaska. He also managed data from USAF satellites. He was owner of Clay Appraisal in Conway. Carl received a B.S. in Bible from CBC in Conway, and 18 hours toward a Master's degree in Counseling from UCA in Conway.
He was married to Ruth Clay of Ft. Worth, Texas, who survives him. He has four children, Jo Ann Clay of Sherwood, Ark., Dianna Clay of Mesa, Ariz., Bill Clay of Dallas, Texas, and Bob Clay of Conway; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR 72116.
Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
