Darrell was my next door neighbor for all of my childhood. He spent many, many weekends camping, fishing and hunting with my family. Since he was older than my brother and me, he loved playing jokes on us or terrifying us with scary stories around the campfire. But Darrell was so much more than that to my family, he was another family member. He helped set up camp, load the boat, untangle fishing lines. He was right there with us as we all learned to fish and navigate the White River. Darrell was a wonderful friend and neighbor and always played baseball and football or went sledding with us on Locust Street hill. Darrell was a second big brother to me and I will treasure all our memories. To Darrell“s family, I am so sorry for your loss but I know all the fun memories he left you with will bring you great peace and joy in time. May God bless you all.
