To all of the Austin family, please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of this wonderful lady. She was an unforgettable person that I was blessed to have had as a part of my life for several years and who will always have a special place in my heart. I know she is finally in a far better place, free from the pain and discomfort she endured for so many years. Her presence will always be with you in the wonderful memories and in the qualities she instilled in each and every one of you. May God bless you all.

God saw her getting tired,
a cure not meant to be.
So He put His arms around her,
and whispered, "Come With Me."
(Author Unknown)

Yes she was very tired ... so many physical ailments ... but her mind was as sharp as it was back when she taught school. Growing up, we had a perfect role model, but we didn't realize those things back then. She was never impatient with any of her nieces and nephews, though as I look back, she had many reasons to be. She gave love unconditionally, and I hope she knew how much all of us loved her in return. I never said a good-bye to her, whether in person or by phone, that she didn't say, "I love you." The last good-bye I whispered to her, last Thursday evening ... she did not hear. Then again, maybe she did.

And I do love you, Aunt Jessie! I will miss you more than you could ever have known.

Aunt Jessie was truly a unique lady. She was the epitome of kindness. She loved all of her family and friends unconditionally. She worried about us all too. Every time someone would ask her how she was feeling, her answer was always, "Fine, fine. How's ____ doing?" She was always asking about others while her health was failing.

Aunt Jessie, I always loved you and I know you loved me. You will be missed only until we meet again where your body will be completely healed of all the illnesses you had here.

Jill, Randy, Stephanie, Mindy, Julie, and family, we were all fortunate and blessed to know and love Aunt Jessie. My prayer is that you will find comfort in knowing she is without pain and discomfort and now with Uncle Lowell, Jack, and all her family there. We had her for a while, but God has her for an eternity. I love you all.

Words cannot express what Miss Jessie meant to everyone at the Glenwood Church of Christ. She was a true example of what it means to be a Christian. She never let her illness keep her from worship. She never complained about her hurts and was always concerned about how others were feeling. She was an example and an inspiration to all the Glenwood church family. She will truly be missed.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
