Bess Jolly Obituary
She was born in December, 1934 to Sam Ribaudo and Lucy Antista of El Moro. After graduating valedictorian from Hoehne High School, Bess would marry William (Bill) Jolly in September of 1953 and would be the mother of three children: Hattie Catherine, Sammy Herling, and James William.
Bess lived a full life, raising her three children while working full time and helping build up the ranch she and Bill shared together. She worked hard her whole life and gave love and support to her children and grandchildren. Bess had a smile that could light up a room and her kindness and love were contagious. She was an avid reader, enjoyed having her family together for dinner every night, and took care of every animal on the ranch with compassion. Bess was a delight to everyone who knew her.
Bess is survived by her husband Bill Jolly; children Jim Jolly and Ruby Passarelli, and Hattie Jolly; grandchildren Leslie Corp, Jayme Jolly and Nate Caron, Elizabeth Dapo and Joel Consolati, and James Jolly Jr; and great grandchildren, Ruby Lillith Passarelli, Connor McGraw, Danica Corp, Mariah McGraw, Jaycee Corp, and Clayton Corp.
Bess is predeceased by her son Sam Jolly (survived by his wife, Jenni Jolly); her parents Sam and Lucy Ribaudo; and her siblings, Ann, Elizabeth, Joe, Bart, Pete, and Grace Ribaudo.
Book signing for Bess will be Wednesday, January 13th from 3:00-6:00pm at the Comi Chapel. Her funeral will be held Thursday, January 14th at 10:00am at the Comi Chapel. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery following the service. Bess asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation (www.parkinson.org) or the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org). Arrangements are being made through Comi Funeral Home.

I first met Bess when I became manager of the Grove Drug Store on Prairie Ave in1967, where she worked. .I was young and inexperienced and Bess helped me learn how to manage people and the business. She was the kindest person in the world and always cared for other people, but her family always came first .She became a great friend and we will miss her soft smile and happy spirit.

I offer my most sincere condolences to Bess’ family as you mourn her loss. I absolutely adored your Mom! We worked in the accounting department together at St Mary Corwin for several years. She was always so vibrant and happy and worked so hard at her job. This was during the time she would leave work on Fridays and travel to Trinidad to help Bill with the ranch. I admired her so much! I’m glad to see that she had quite a large family that I’m sure adored her as well and that she had a long life. She was very dedicated to family and spoke of everyone often. Rest In Peace my dear friend Bess. You will be missed but I’m so glad to have known you.

Through Liz I learned many wonderful things about her Granny. Then I met her at Liz and Joel's wedding and found her an absolutely lovely woman, strong yet kind. She will be greatly missed. May fond memories fill in the spaces created by her passing. May reflection on past happiness with her blend with grief until only joy for her life remains.
