Troy Dean Hopper

Troy Dean Hopper, age 53, of Lakemont, Georgia passed away on May 29, 2024.
Troy was born in Toccoa, Ga., on Jan. 22, 1971, to Eleanor Lovell Hopper and the late Cordinal Dean Hopper. He owned Dean's Wrecker Service as well as Dean's Automotive Shop.
Troy was a devoted member of Lakemont Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Troy was an avid fan of many things such as Georgia Bulldogs Football, Atlanta Braves, Dale Earnhardt Sr., dirt track racing, hunting and spending time in the woods. Troy was a man on his own time, but he was always in a hurry to get to wrecker calls because he didn't want to make anyone wait. Troy was a friend to everyone and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his father, Troy is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, EB Lovell and Laura Caudell Lovell; and paternal grandparents, Claude "Buster" Hopper and Vassie Garrett Hopper.
Troy is survived by loving wife, Lisa Hopper, mother, Eleanor Lovell Hopper, children, Andrew Hopper (Hallie), Victoria Hopper (Chazz), brother, Travis "Cooter" Hopper (Samantha); grandchildren, Faith Hopper, Chasten Roberts, and Raelynn Roberts; as well as his nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A visitation was held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home on Saturday, June 1, 2024. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. at Lakemont Baptist Church with interment following at Rabun Memory Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lakemont Baptist Church. Donations can be mailed to 596 West Wolfcreek Rd., Lakemont, GA 30552.
