Julia Eckles Obituary

Julia Belle Wade Eckles, age 92, went to be with Jesus, her husband Van S. Eckles of 56 years and her grandson Richard R. Eckles, Jr., on January 28, 2025.

Julia is survived by her children Melbalene Eckles of Pocahontas, MS, Gary V. Eckles (Cheryl) of Flora, MS, Richard R. Eckles (Teri) of Baton Rouge, LA, Cindy S. Eckles of Clinton, MS; her grandchildren Shannon Eckles, Elizabeth Eckles, Andrew Eckles, Angela Eckles and Caitlyn Hoover; her great grandchildren Jacob Patterson, Adrian Eckles Hastings, Logan Eckles, several great great grandchildren, her sister Barbara Rankin (Jay) of Woodward, OK, her brother Donald Wade of Fort Worth, TX, and many nieces and nephews.

Julia was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Her hobbies were reading, crocheting and spending quality time with her family. She had a great sense of humor and she was the best Mom ever! She loved her job with Piccadilly Cafeteria where she retired after 20 years.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 01, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. Services will follow at 12:00pm in the Wright & Ferguson Chapel. Interment will follow at the Flora Cemetery in Flora, MS.
