Allen Bundy Obituary
Born on January 6, 1936, he was the son of the late Merritt Bundy and Susie (Spicher) Bundy.
On April 6, 1957, he married Bernice L. Tapper at the Gelnett Memorial Church. Together they celebrated 67 wonderful years, until her passing on August 11, 2024.
He graduated from Sandy High School in 1954, then went on to Williamsport Tech College, where he learned the trade of tool and die making. Allen worked at McDowell Manufacturing as a tool and die maker, retiring as the supervisor of the tool room.
Allen was a member of the First Baptist Church, DuBois. He loved anything outdoors such as hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. His greatest joy was his family and friends.
He is survived by his children: Allen Dale Bundy Jr. wife Lisa of DuBois, Virginia Johnson husband Charles of DuBois; daughters-in-law, Barbra Bundy of Salem, Susan Bundy of DuBois; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his wife and parents, Allen was also preceded in death by his sons, Joel and Clyde Bundy; brothers and sisters: Loretta Granger, Mary Jane (Louis) Showers, Jessie (Don) Patchell, Lewis (Patty) Bundy, Marc Bundy, Cecil Bundy and Mabel Carlson.
Friends and family will be received at the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, DuBois, Friday, February 7 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday 9-11 a.m. Service will be at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. Mark McGomery officiating. Burial will be in Bundy Cemetery.
