Ann Smith Obituary

Ann E. (Filitsky) Smith, 91, of 311 Broadway St., Reynoldsville, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at home.
Born July 21, 1926, in Soldier, she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Mary (Zahoransky) Filitsky. She married the late Gilbert D. Smith Sr. on Oct. 11, 1947.
She graduated from the Sykesville High School. She worked at Ideal Shirt Factory and utilities and industries. she was co-owner of Smith's Hickory Lane Golf Course before retiring. She was a member of the American Legion Post #392, the Elks, the Eagles #540, and the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son, Gilbert D. Smith Jr. of Reynoldsville, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren and one step great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Rebecca (Smith) Kramer and Glenda Ann Smith; two sons, William Brent Smith and Geoffrey Daniel Smith; two brothers, Martin Filitsky and Augustus Filitsky; and two sisters, Mary Filitsky and Leona Atgalainis.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Annie always had a light in her eyes and would delight in meeting you. She was so spirited--reminded you of a "spark plug." To see her and Gilbert dancing in later years, they would remind you of a couple of teens in love. RIP, Annie.
