Bradley Wells Obituary

Bradley Donald Wells, 66, of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, has passed away peacefully after a long history of illness. He was surrounded by his loving family at home. Born on August 17, 1957, he was the son of the late Donald and Sarah (Weary) Wells of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania.

Bradley graduated from Jeff-Tech in 1976, where he was a member of the welding shop. On September 9, 1978, he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, the late Karen (Engle) Wells. They shared many memories and love while they raised three daughters through a marriage of almost forty-three years. Bradley was a member of the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania. Bradley was also a member of the John M. Read Masonic Lodge in Reynoldsville, where he made lifelong friendships and enjoyed volunteering his time.

Bradley had a deep appreciation of nature, whether hunting, spending time at the family camp, or enjoying the slow crackle of a campfire. Bradley enjoyed soaking in sunshine while resting on his front porch, and in more recent years, crocheting afghans that were often gifted to family and friends.

Bradley is survived by his children, Kathrine (Zachariah) Stiver, of DuBois, Pennsylvania, Rachel (Colton) Gearhart, of Sykesville, Pennsylvania, and Sarah Jo Wells (Joseph Trisoline) of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania. He will be remembered with love as "Happy" by his grandchildren: Oakleigh, Ryleigh, and Bayleigh Gearhart, and Noah Stiver.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother Albert Wells, his brothers-in-law, William Engle, James Engle, and Michael Engle. Surviving siblings include John (Betty) Wells, Richard (Wendy) Wells, and Donna (Randy) Schmidt. Also surviving are his in-laws, Sally Wells, Raymond (Betty) Engle, Daniel (Mary) Engle, Jeanne (Bryce) Hall, Sharon Engle, Rita Meglio, and Philip (Kim) Engle. Numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces also survive.

Of special note, Bradley and his family wish to extend their deepest appreciation and gratitude to the numerous nurses, techs, and physicians that have provided care to him over the years.

Bradley's wishes were for memorial contributions to be made to: Lisa's Ladybugs (a patient care fund for patients with cancer) at P.O. Box 692, Punxsutawney, PA, 15767, or to the John M. Read Masonic Lodge, PO Box 337, Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania 15851.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 2–4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Snyder – d'Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A Masonic service will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024, beginning at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 607 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851, beginning at 10 a.m. and officiated by Father Ben Daghir. Interment will take place at the Reynoldsville Cemetery in Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., PA. I cant begin to express my sympathies for Brads family. I've known him since i was a young girl. His brother Al married my sister. And i became a part of the Wells family. We spent hundreds of hours riding bikes, riding mini bikes at camp, swimming in the pool at camp, eating holiday dinners at great grandma Althea's table. Brad was like another brother to me. His wife, Karen was a true gem. I loved them both dearly. To you girls and your families: I wish you PEACE. Your parents were truly good people, kind, loving, honest, hard-working and proud. You have " inherited" me as your kookoojean. I love you.
