Charlotte Nolan Obituary

Charlotte A. Nolan, 78, a former Howard, PA resident, currently a resident at Highland View Health Care in Brockway died on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

Born on September 22, 1943 in Apopka, FL, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Vivian Shay Casteel.

Charlotte was married to Ray T. Nolan and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2020.

Retired, she had been employed as a dental receptionist. Charlotte enjoyed playing bingo, working in her yard, artificial flowers and especially pink flamingos.

She is survived by a daughter, Tracy (John) Peterson of St. Marys, PA; a son, Victor Gaines of Florida; a sister, Patricia Godden of Orlando, FL; a half sister, Tina McDaniel of Winter Park, FL; a brother, Billy (Diane) Casteel of Apopka, FL; five grandchildren: Jessica Sterling, Maranda Sterling, Gilbert Sterling, Kristina Gaines, Jeremy Gaines and three great-grandchildren: Waylon Petruzzi, Wyatt Frank and Atlas Frank.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by an infant sister.

All services for Charlotte will be private at the convenience of her family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.

The Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway is handling the arrangements.
