Daniel Lander Obituary
He was born on March 6, 1968, to Leo Charles Lander and Linda Kathy (Buzard) Ochs in Clarion, PA. Daniel proudly served his country with the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Division for eight years. He graduated from high school and worked for UPS for over 20 years, starting as a delivery driver and working his way up to long haul semi delivery.
Daniel attended the Presbyterian Church and was a faithful believer in God. He was a member of Brookville Fraternal Order of Eagles #983, and also held multiple seats on the board, including President. Daniel was a collector of mostly knives and guns, but also enjoyed building and collecting plastic models. He was a talented musician who loved to play the guitar and sing. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, specifically Harley Davidsons. Daniel loved the outdoors and animals, especially his own cats and dogs. He loved the PA wilds and not only lived within them but was also an avid hunter.
Daniel will be dearly missed by many. Daniel is survived by his mother and stepfather, Linda Kathy (Larry Francis) Ochs; two brothers, Shawn (Millie Donahue) Lander; Eric (Bonnie) Lander; three nieces, Hanna Lander, Erica Walk, Paige Lander; one nephew, Keegan Lander; one uncle, Harry (Donna) Kaltenbach; and numerous cousins.
Daniel was preceded in passing by two uncles, Eugene Buzard, Clyde "Bud" Lander; his maternal grandparents, Merle (Virginia) Buzard; and his paternal grandparents, John (Louise) Lander.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the Brookville Presbyterian Church, 110 N. White Street, Brookville, PA 15825, beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Cedarview Memorial Park, Strattanville, Clarion Co., PA.
