David Yohe Obituary

David E. Yohe Sr., 84, DuBois, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022 at Christ the King Manor.

Born March 12, 1938, in Big Run, he was the son of the late Edward B. and Helen (Vanetta) Yohe.

On Sept. 12, 1959, he married Carolyn (Vardy) Yohe at Mt. Zion Methodist Church. She survives.

Dave attended Sykesville Schools. He retired from the maintenance department at Owens-Brockway. Dave was a faithful member of Bethany Covenant Church. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by three children, Luann (John) Decker, New Cumberland, WV; David E. (Wendy) Yohe Jr., Rockton; and Diane (Chris) Gramm, Midlothian, VA; eight grandchildren: Meghan and Joshua (Courtney) Yohe, Carl (Lyndsey) and Matthew Decker, and Caleb (Rachel), Nathan (Amanda), Elizabeth, and Lydia Gramm, and a great-grandson, Miller Yohe. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Clifford, Charles, James, and Dean Yohe, and a sister, Betty Lou Schaffer.

Friends and family will be received Friday, Sept.30 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10-11 a.m. from the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. A funeral service will follow Saturday's visitation at 11 a.m. from the funeral chapel with Pastor Jesse Slimak officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bethany Covenant Church, 26 E. Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
