Floyd Zimmerman Obituary
Born April 10, 1929, in Pinecreek Township, he was a son of the late Ralph A. and Nora E. Bussard Zimmerman. On July 2, 1949, he was married to Patricia L. Porter Zimmerman. She preceded him in death May 5, 2007.
He retired as an employee of Consolidated/Dominion Gas of Luthersburg after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Reynoldsville Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Hobah Lodge F&AM Brookville, Jaffa Shrine and Coudersport Consistory. He was an avid baseball player for the Brookville Greys and enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include a son, Gary L. Zimmerman (Joette E. Peterson) of Brookville; two grandchildren, Heather L. Zimmerman (Narayan Partangel) of Leesburg, Va. and Jeffrey W. (Heather D.) Zimmerman of Valencia; six great-grandchildren: Devan, Danika and Monika Partangel of Leesburg, Va. and Gage, Brady and Lane Zimmerman of Valencia; a brother, Ellsworth (Irene) Zimmerman of Marienville; a sister, Charlotte Ford of Brookville; and his companion, Sally Krach of Luthersburg.
He was also preceded in death by six sisters: Helen Rhoades, Madelyn Dispenza, Faye Ford, Patty Lou McMangle, Donna Jean Zimmerman and Betty Louise Zimmerman; and a brother, Russell Zimmerman.
A remembrance gathering will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery, Corsica.
