Helen Gresock Obituary

Helen Rose Gresock, 93, Sykesville, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, at her residence. She was born August 18, 1929, in Soldier, a daughter of the late John & Mary (Kossa) Kokoska. She married John Martin Gresock; he preceded her in death in 2007.

Helen is a graduate of Sykesville High School. She previously worked at Rockwell and then at Jefferson Electronics. She was a member of Assumption of the B.V.M. Church. She was devoted to her church, St. Jude's and her family.

She leaves behind two children, John (Cindy) Gresock of Treasure Lake and Susan Marie Gresock of Sykesville, three grandchildren, Emily (Mark) Edmiston of DuBois, Kasey (Joshua) Miller of Toledo and Krista (Matthew) Burkett of Toledo, seven great-grandchildren, Owen, Nolan, Piper, Walter, Josephine, Vera and Brynn, several nieces and nephews and a special caregiver and niece Diane Reasinger.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was also preceded in death three brothers, John Kokoska, jr, Alois "Pie" Kokoska and Adam "Mit" KoKoska and two sisters, Anne Glasl and Mary Burns.

Private Services were held at the ABVM Church in Sykesville. Burial took place in the church cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of Sykesville. Online condolences can be made at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com.
