Jane Bonsall

1926 - 2016

Jane Bonsall of Dubois, Pa., died on Sept. 26, 2016, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living in Rock Hall, Maryland. She was 90.
She was born on June 8, 1926, in Rockton, Pa., to the late Claire and Carie Shaffer.
A graduate of DuBois High School, she married Ed Bonsall in 1957; they made their home in Clearfield, Pa.
Mrs. Bonsall worked for General Adjustment Bureau in the insurance industry, as an administrative assistant for 17 years until she retired to raise her family.
She was active with area churches and settled with Curwensville Alliance Church in Curwensville, Pa., where she and her husband attended. She enjoyed her church family, her many friends, and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ed, in 1999; and her father, Claire, in 2000.
She moved to Rock Hall, Md., to be closer to her family three years ago.
She is survived by two children, Robert Edward Bonsall and his wife Michelle and son Ryan of Monroe, Ga., and Tracey Ann Pochron and her husband Jim and son Chase of Church Hill, Md. She is also survived by a brother, James Shaffer of Monrovia, California.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 12, 2016, at Curwensville Alliance Church in Curwensville, Pa. Interment will be in Crowncrest cemetery.
