Joyce A. Pinchot

Joyce A. (Nolder) Pinchot, 88, of DuBois, passed from this world on Saturday, December 28th, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois. She was a devoted and loving wife to Robert "Bob" Pinchot for nearly 65 years. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2024. Born July 9th, 1936 in Cramer, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Phyllis (Pierce) Nolder.

After graduating from Sykesville High School in 1954, Joyce was employed at several locations before working at Brockway Glass/Owens Brockway for over 25 years as a packer and inspector.

Joyce had a love of country music and sang in a local band for many years with her husband. During her working years she bowled regularly, camped with the family, and did many crafts. After retirement, she started playing golf which allowed her and Bob to spend time outdoors. Joyce and Bob also spent many years as snowbirds; living in Florida during the winter months where they could continue to play golf and enjoy the outdoors.

Joyce is survived by two sisters, Gladys Anasti of Dauphin, PA and Dolores Cattau of Gainesville, FL; one son, Robert Jr. (Carolyn) of Newark, DE; two grandchildren, Tony (Shannon) Pinchot of Wilmington, DE and Derek Pinchot of Atlanta, GA, a great-grandson Luka Pinchot, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Arthur E. Nolder, two sisters; Edna L. Zortman and Geraldine Y. Johnson, and a daughter Denise L. Pinchot.

Services and interment will be private at Trinity Cemetery, Sykesville.
