Peter Waddell Obituary

Peter Waddell, 89, of DuBois, PA died Friday, May 31, 2024 at his home.

Born on November 3, 1934, in Breslau, Germany, he was the son of the late Harry and Hildagard ( Peisker) Waddell.

Peter was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War.

He married Carole (Howton) Waddell. She preceded him in death.

Peter retired from Sierra Pacific Power Company in Reno, NV after over 30 years of service.

He was a man of God with a strong devotion to his family.

Peter is survived by his two children, Brad Waddell and his wife Christine of DuBois, PA, and Debby McCraw of Littleton, CO; a step brother, Harry ""Butch"" Waddell of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren: Megan, Joshua, Heather, and Kelly; and three great-grandchildren: Raven, Serenity and Oliver.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Hilga.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service.

Burial will take place in Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.

The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Pete was my boss at Sierra Pacific Power Co. I was 23 years old at the time.. I asked him if I could take 6 weeks off to travel to Europe and still have my job when I returned home. He was a special person to let me do that! I will pray for him!
