Sharon Sue (Slettvet) Thompson, 67, of New Castle, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Henry Community Health. She was born April 24, 1956 in New Castle to the late Archie and Thelma Irene (Smith) Slettvet.
Sharon enjoyed playing volleyball in her younger years and was a huge Andy Griffith fan. She enjoyed being with others and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Heather (Kevin) Baxter of New Castle; son, Ryan Thompson of New Castle; three grandchildren, Xavier Johnson, Haven Thompson and Liam Baxter; siblings, Linda (Roger) Raines of New Castle, Larry (Diann) Slettvet of Florida, Laura Moore of Texas, Terry (Cheryl) Slettvet of New Castle and Tara Duvall of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Zoey Baxter and a sister, Lana K. Slettvet.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services in New Castle. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. You may express condolences or share a memory of Sharon at www.hisney-brown.com.
