Suzanne Dee (Reid) Wright, 85, of Spiceland, went home to be with the Lord early Friday morning, September 12, 2025, at The Waters of New Castle following a brief illness.
She was born on February 27, 1940, in New Castle, Indiana, the daughter of the late Vaughn Leroy and Ruth Irene (Mogle) Reid. Suzanne was a 1958 graduate of New Castle High School. She married the love of her life, Donald E. Wright, in 1970, and not only were they marriage partners, but they were also best friends and constant companions, doing everything together in life. Suzanne greatly assisted Don in their business, IN Design – Innovative Design Products & Systems. They were long-time members of First Baptist Church in New Castle, where her love for children was expressed by serving in the church nursery. Suzanne loved animals of all kinds, but especially horses and dogs. For many years, she and Don enjoyed wintering in Venice, Florida.
Those left to cherish Suzanne's memory include her loving husband of 55 years, Don Wright, and a sister-in-law, Linda (Aaron) Cummins of Westchester, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, and by a close friend, Ginger Wills and her family. In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Ann Clark, and her brother, Vaughn "Junior" Reid II.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Sproles Family Funeral Home.
