Alice Ellis Obituary
Alice (Mearle Denby) Ellis, 79, of Hopewell Township went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 23, 2012.
Alice was born to the late Martha D. Cooper and James Denby. Alice retired from Venice Maid after 41 years of service and devoted all her time to her church, family and friends.
Alice leaves to cherish one brother, Floyd Denby; three sisters, Louis Hagan (Earnest), Thelma Hayes and Marie Trusty; seven children, Zeita Holden (David), Glenda Ledbetter, Mary Green, Zandra Ware (Charles), Josephine Speight (Arthur), Glen Ellis and Rosalind Holley; 23 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. on Monday at Glory Tabernacle, 1018 Buckshutem Road, Bridgeton; viewing is from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment: Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.

The sweetest lady, always a loving smile. OMG, how she loved her family. It's amazing how she always showed her love for me, one of many distant cousins. We will truly miss her. Heaven is blessed to have an angel like Cousin Merle.
