Dr. Horbach would come out to our farm for sweet corn when we raised it (we retired in 2013) and he was always purchasing a supply for others who knew him. He would never take a donation from us for his cause. On occasion he would bring out a rack of ribs or some cake or something he thought we would like. He was a very kind man, full of love for his family and friends. It is hard to find the words to describe him. He was the greatest. Our condolences to his family.

Uncle Fred was like a father to me and Grandfather to my daughter, Grace. He's one of the reasons that I have my daughter, as he and Aunt Betty supplied most of the funds needed back then for this adoption. He continued to send us packages as we lived overseas and was always a JOY and blessing and encouragement to us over the years, always eager to receive us into his home as we came back to the States . . always ready to meet us with gifts and love. His influence in our lives was massive and we will miss him greatly.

I am a graduate of Cumberland County College and two of the most memorable classes I had were with Dr. Horbach--Comparative Religions I and II. Dr. Horbach was an outstanding professor. He had so much knowledge of various religions and his lectures were very informative. He arranged for the class to visit different churches and a synagogue in Vineland.
This enhanced what I learned in class. I also remember Dr. Horbach giving an inspiring benediction at my graduation from CCC.
I am saddened by his passing and know that he now rests in the hands of Our Lord. May he rest in Peace.
