David Schwartz Obituary
AGE: 83 • Vineland
David J. Schwartz MD, 83, of Vineland, passed away at home on May 19, 2015 with his beloved wife Barbara by his side, along with his nurse Mary Ridgway and his caregiver Richard Yaboah. David was born in Chester, PA to the late Louis and May (Dektor) Schwartz on January 3, 1932. He attended Chester High School, Penn State University and Hahnemann Medical School.
David practiced at Vineland OB/GYN for over 40 years, having delivered thousands of babies. David retired from practice in 2007. Through the years he served on Newcomb Hospital's Board of Trustees, was the Department Head of OB/GYN, created the Same Day Surgery Department and was named Physician of the year in October 1997. He was also a member of Beth Israel Congregation and Men's Club. He is survived by wife of 34 years, Barbara (Woldar) Schwartz, she having lost the love of her life. His children, Eric L Schwartz, Dr. Mark Schwartz, Karen Abraham, Steve Schwartz and Joel Schwartz; 10 grandchildren, his special niece, Brandi Hermanson Lafferty; mother-in-law, Dorothy Woldar and many nieces, nephews & cousins. David was predeceased by his parents, Louis & May Schwartz and his brother, Barton Schwartz. Friends will be received from 9am to 10am Thursday, May 21, with Funeral Services beginning at 10am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Alliance Cemetery, Norma. Shiva will be observed at David's late residence on Thursday.

Having just come across this I wanted to add a message. Dr Schwartz was an excellent physician and delivered my son on August 22,1971. My son has been a precious gift and I wanted to thank Dr Schwartz for that. Sorry this is so late in coming but thank you!!

My condolences to the Schwartz family. I became a patient of Dr Schwartz in 1971 when I was expecting my first child. He was always a gentleman, professional and so nice to me. Although the patients circulated among all the practitioners, he was always my favorite. I was sad when he retired and I am saddened to learn of his passing. May he rest in peace and may our Lord comfort his wife and family.

You, Dr. Schwartz, brought me into this world, over 60 years ago. It is only fitting I recognize you as you depart it. There are thousands like myself who owe you that distinction.
