Vineland - Ethan R. Hernandez, 14, of Vineland, NJ passed away at home on Thursday December 10, 2020. Ethan was born & raised in Vineland, NJ where he remained as a lifelong resident.
" Those we love don't go away, they walk besides us everyday"
Ethan was an angel with a heart of gold and a mind of ambition. His laugh could light up a room and fill it with love and smiles. Ethan is currently a student in the 8th grade at Sgt. Dominick Pilla Middle School. Ethan truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends & family, riding dirtbikes, playing basketball and football, going to the gym, and listening to music. Ethan had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
He is survived by his mother; Lizette Hadden & husband Jy'Quan, Sr. Father; Steven Pagan, Sr. Siblings; Kassandra Rodriguez, Sieara Martinez, Jonathan Santiago, Alainie Hadden, Jy'Quan Hadden Jr., and Steven Pagan Jr. Brother in-law; Robert Miller
Maternal grandparents; Lucy Maldonado & Eric Feliciano, Uncle Sergio Droz and Godmother Theresa Gore as well as a host of relatives & friends.
A private family service will be conducted at the Pancoast Funeral Home with burial at the Siloam Cemetery. Family and close friends will be received from 10:00-11:30 AM on Friday. Due to the pandemic and to be overly cautious his funeral service will be recorded and viewed on his memorial page through Pancoast Funeral Home. Ethan was in my homeroom at Pilla Middle School this year. Although attendance was on a hybrid schedule due to the pandemic, he would come in and go dutifully to his seat a distance away from my position at the front of the room. While masks kept the kids from talking much, it was in their emails to me in the aftermath of his passing that the chatter began as it should among children. This boy was beloved. He was a friend. He did silly things. He will be missed by our homeroom and that seat will remain his. Mrs. Carol Farinaccio

I only coached one VBA game as the head coach and I found out today my charger Ethan Hernandez met with the Angel's a few days ago. We took on the best team in the league on that day and we pressed and disrupted and held them in check losing to a team that ran roughshod over the league. And nobody played harder tenacious defense then Ethan Hernandez, a great kid. I am sorry and saddened on this day because you should have had so many more days ahead of you. I will always hold you in my heart. RIP Warrior.
