Fermin Gonzalez Obituary
AGE: 76 • Vineland
Fermin Gonzalez, 76 of Vineland "Poppy" passed away at home from an extended illness on Thursday, August 20, 2015 surrounded by his family. Poppy worked at Progresso/General Mills for over 25 years as a machine operator. He loved working on his cars, cooking, working in his garden and spending time with his family.
Poppy is predeceased by his parents: Ventura Gonzalez and Esmeralda (Martinez). He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Donna (D'Augustine) Gonzalez of Vineland; 1 son, George D'Augustine and wife Nicole; 2 daughters, Mary Ann Harris and husband Keith and Jeanina Greene and husband Robert; 8 grandchildren: Ashlee and husband Joey, Keith, Brianna, Marissa, Georgie, Jr., Robert, Jr., Brianna and Serena; his beloved father and mother-in-law, Carmen and Grace D'Augustine; brother-in-law and wife, Carmen and Tammy D'Augustine; sister-in-law, Kathy D'Augustine; sister-in-law, Lori D'Augustine and fiancé, Billy; many nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Cookie.
He will be greatly missed and was a hardworking man and loved everyone. Poppy had a heart of gold! We want to thank Holy Redeemer Hospice and Doctor Pirolli for all they did for my husband. Burial will be private for family only. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 N. Delsea Drive Vineland, NJ 08360 or Holy Redeemer Hospice P.O.
