Harry Simpkins Obituary
Commercial Twp. - Harry Weldy Simpkins III, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at his home in Commercial Twp.
Born in Bridgeton, NJ, to the late Harry Simpkins, Jr. and Rhodella Holton, he graduated from Bridgeton High School and enlisted in the US Air Force in 1967. He had served until 1970, when he was honorably discharged.
Harry went on to work in local glass manufacturing for over 40 years, beginning at Owens Illinois until they closed. He then worked for Durand Glass Manufacturing until his retirement. Harry enjoyed collecting coins and traveling, especially along the Pacific coast. He also greatly enjoyed time spent with his very close friend, Arlene.
He is survived by; his brother, Jack Brian Simpkins (Kelly); his brother-in-law, Lou Berge and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by; his mother, Rhodella Holton; his father, Harry Weldy Simpkins, Jr. and his sister, Joan Marie Berge.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.

Harry "Sonny" was an important person in my life years ago. He recently popped into my head and then i saw that he passed away today. My heart is sad. I am sending prayers in remembrance of him
