Josephine Orlano

Rosenhayn - Josephine T. Orlano (nee Weber), 92, a lifelong resident of Rosenhayn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday morning November 5, 2018.

She was born in Rosenhayn on September 18, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Pazdzjiora Weber. Her beloved husband, Michael F. Orlano, died in 2013.

Prior to her retirement, she worked at various local glass companies. She retired from Kontes Glass on Spruce Street in Vineland in 1991.

Josephine was avid about Sunday family dinners with spaghetti, homemade gravy and meatballs. She was an extremely caring person, a wonderful mother, a compassionate friend and a devoted wife. She enjoyed word search puzzles, socializing at the Charlotte Brago Senior Center and going to the casinos. She was also a lifelong and devoted parishioner of The Parish of the Holy Cross / St. Mary's RC Church in Rosenhayn.

She is survived by four children, Patricia A. Lowe, Michael F. Orlano, Jr. (Ronny), Barbara A. Reed (George) and Darlene C. Orlano (Stephen), her daughter-in-law, Beverly Orlano, six grandchildren, Christopher Sloane (Pam), Shannon Hayes (Moses), Joseph Orlano (Judy), Rebecca Hodge (James), Jessica Watson (Joseph) and Georgia Reed. Additional survivors include nine great grandchildren, Jeremy Orlano, Emily Orlano, Nicholas Hayes, Matthew Hayes, Cierra Boone Deon Boone, and Maryanna Josephine Edwards and one great grandchild; Jacen Orlano. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her son, Joseph L. Orlano and son-in-law, Randolph R. Lowe and six siblings, Mary Burkhart, Agnes Ficcaglia, Laura Manno, Helen Buscaglia, John Weber and an infant brother, Edward Weber.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy at The Parish of the Holy Cross / St. Mary's RC Church, Morton Avenue in Rosenhayn on Saturday morning November 10th at 11 o'clock where friends will be received from 10 until 11.

The burial will follow and take place in the church cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freitag Funeral Home in Bridgeton.
