Leonard Anderson, 77, of Greenwood, Del., and formerly of Millville, passed away Sunday evening, March 6, 2011, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Camden, he grew up in Laurel Lake, and lived most of his life in Millville. For the past 10 years he lived in Delaware. For five years, Mr. Anderson worked for General Machine of Wheaton's as a first class machinist.Prior to that, he worked for Maul Brothers. He attended the Central Baptist Church in Millville. He was an avid sportsman.He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and rifle shooting.He was a member of the Cumberland Riflemen Association, the Cumberland County Federation Sportsmen's Club, Venatores Gun Club in Cedarville, and a lifetime member of the NRA.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Lucille (Shelton); one son, Leonard E. Anderson of Newark, Del.; one daughter, Cynthia Lynn McGinley of Warminster, Pa.; three grandchildren; and many cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home.Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
