Manuel Ruiz-Garcia Obituary
AGE: 88 • Vineland
Manuel Ruiz-Garcia, age 88 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at home.
Manuel was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Jacinto and Candida (Garcia) Ruiz and was a resident of Vineland for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, Manuel worked as a Mason with Gillespie Brothers Inc. of Vineland for over 25 years. He enjoyed daily readings of the Bible and listening to church services on the radio. He also loved working in his vegetable garden and watching the Price is Right game show on television.
Manuel was predeceased by his daughter Gloria "Rola" Ruiz in 1997. Manuel is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Olga (Mendoza) Ruiz of Vineland. His 4 children; Carmen Ruiz of Ventnor City, Hector Ruiz and wife Lisset of Vinelnad, Madeline Ruiz-Robinson and husband Dave of Newark, NJ and Manuel "Manny" Ruiz Jr. of Vineland. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 5 brothers, 1 sister and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 2nd at 10:30 at the Divine Mercy Parish, 23 W. Chestnut Ave. Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, and again on Friday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the CHURCH.
Donations in memory of Manuel may be made to the Divine Mercy Parish.
