Paul Joseph Letizia

AGE: 84 • Vineland

Paul Joseph Letizia, 84, of Vineland, peacefully passed through the gates of Heaven on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Moorestown, NJ but resided in East Vineland most of his entire life with his predeceased wife of 51 years, Gladys Rose (Ferrari) Letizia. Paul was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He served his country four years on the front lines in South and Central Korea. He was a Machine Gun Unit Leader, 0335, and participated in operations against enemy forces. He was still actively involved as a member of the Korean War Veterans of Cumberland County and served as their chaplain, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 158, New Italy American Society, Harmony Gun Club, and various other organizations. Paul was a carpenter by trade, where he worked for many years as a finish carpenter and cabinet builder on homes and yachts. Later in life, he operated "Chestnut Hill" Farms with his wife and sons. He enjoyed working together with his wife and sons on their family farm, rental properties, and numerous other home projects for their three children. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, antiques, flea markets, and especially spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Paul leaves behind his three children, Cynthia M. (Letizia) Flaim and husband Robert A. Flaim Jr., Paul D. Letizia and fiancée Terri Codispoti, and Ronald J. Letizia and wife Karen (Risimini) Letizia, all of Vineland. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Letizia Sr., and sisters Sarah Repetti, Gloria Irion, and Sandra Ferguson. In addition, he leaves his companion of ten years, Carol Richardson; his loving grandchildren Ryan and Brenda Flaim, Jessica and Thomas Salerno, Paul W. Letizia, Sr., Katelin Rose Letizia and Amanda Mary Letizia. His most cherished great-grandchildren, Paul W. Letizia, Jr., Lola Rose Salerno and Robert Anthony Flaim III, along with many nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Carmelo and Anna (Panerello) Letizia and his sister Josephine (Letizia) Smaniotto.

A church visitation will be held on Wednesday from 8:30 am to 10:45 am followed by a funeral mass at 11am from Saint Padre Pio Parish- Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery- Vineland, Vineland. Arrangements are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360.
