Philip Davis Obituary

Philip W. Davis, 82, of Millersville, Pa., and formerly of Bridgeton, died on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at the Conestoga View Nursing Center in Lancaster, Pa., following over a year of declining health.

Born in Bridgeton on July 29, 1931, to the late Arthur C.R. Davis and Emily Willis Davis, he was the husband of Rowena Smith Davis. He had lived at his present address for the past 20 years and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton and Seabrook.

Before his retirement, Mr. Davis had worked as a mail carrier with the U.S. postal service at the Bridgeton Post Office for over 20 years.

Besides his wife Rowena, he is survived by a son, George Davis and his wife Denise of Millersburg, PA and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Lewis Davis and Philip C. Davis.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 16 at the Marlboro 7th Day Baptist Cemetery, 607 Quinton-Marlboro Road, Quinton Twp. at 2 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Padgett Funeral Home, Upper Deerfield.
