Thomas M. Urgo, Jr 51 of Vineland passed away in his home on Monday, May 18th after a difficult battle with cancer. He was in the company of his family. Tom graduated from Vineland High School in 1982. Throughout his 25-year career serving the State of New Jersey within the NJ Department of Corrections, Tom who was known as "Wizard" was well respected in his profession.

Tom's greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife and two children. He also enjoyed coaching baseball as well as playing softball himself and playing cards with his friends at the Moose Lodge where he was a member. Tom was very well loved and respected by many who knew him. He was a Mets and Arizona Cardinal fan. Tom is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Lozano) Urgo and two children; son, Thomas M. Urgo III and daughter, McKenzie C. Urgo, his father, Thomas M. Urgo, Sr; two brothers, Mike Urgo and spouse Darlene, Don Urgo and spouse Tina, sister in law, Rebecca Zayas and three brother in laws, John Lozano and spouse Maria, Adam Lozano and spouse Anna and Jose Zayas, he is also survived by 6 nephews and 3 nieces. Tom was predeceased by his mother, Marsha Green Urgo Dippolito. GOD GIVES HIS HARDEST BATTLES TO HIS STRONGEST SOLDIERS!!!!!!!!

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 4pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be private. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm at the funeral home. I can't express how saddened I am to hear of Tom's passing. He truly was a wonderful person. My family and I have wonderful memories of Tom. I thank him for that. To his wife and beautiful children you are in the thoughts and hearts of the Figueroa family. God Bless you Tom.
