Gary Hanson Obituary
The family is having a celebration of life on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Heritage Service Building at Heritage Park in Coldwater.
Gary was born June 2, 1961 in Coldwater, to Larry and Marguerette (Rossetter) Hanson. Upon his graduation from high school, he began working as an auto mechanic. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1985 – 1988. On April 17, 1994, Gary married the love of his life, Robin Marshall in Las Vegas.
Gary was a loving family man with many interests. He enjoyed traveling the country, camping, and riding motorcycles. Gary was an avid fan of both the Detroit Tigers and Lions and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially grandson. Gary retired in 2008, after many years of being a service manager in the automotive business. He will be remembered as an honest, caring, and spontaneous man who loved dogs.
Gary is survived by his wife of 20 years, Robin Hanson; his son Jason Hanson of Coldwater; brother Eric Hanson of Grand Rapids; sister Marcia (Rick) Wadsworth of Quincy; his grandson Finnegan Hanson of Coldwater; niece Amy Purchis; and great nephew Dillon Purchis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
