Adrian Brown Obituary
Adrian was born on June 14, 1952, in North Kingston, R.I., the daughter of Maryland Sybil Sunday and James Brown.
Adrian enjoyed reading, working, and spending time with her grandson. She worked at The William W. Backus Hospital for 22 years as a phlebotomist and had graduated from the Huntington Institute in 1992. Adrian was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She leaves her children, Toni Owens, Abraham Grant III, and Tatum Grant; her grandson, Beckham Ward. She also leaves her sisters, Constance Perez, Modesta Tyree, and Victoria Hall; and her brother, Robert Adams. Her entire family will miss her laughter.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London. Her burial will be private.
"We look up to the sky and talk to you, what I would give to hear you talk back. I miss your voice, I miss your laughter, I miss everything about you. Rest in peace my love."

I am so saddened to learn of Adrian's passing but I am sure your good memories will soon bring comfort to your hearts and make you smile. I met Adrian while working at Backus (back in the good old days). There WILL be peace in her valley, but not until she gets everyone else whipped into shape! She was a strong woman with a crazy sense of humor and an inimitable laugh. She will be sadly missed in the CCU on the night shift. Adrian, rest in peace, it was a pleasure knowing you & hearing about your family, especially your stories about Beckham - you were so the proud Grandma!

Adrian was loved by all. Although it has been years since we worked together, she had touched my life just as she had others. She was an amazing woman. She will live forever in our memories. May she be at peace and may her family be at peace as well.

I will always remember our swims at Ocean Beach, the Three Degrees (When Will I See You Again) and our late night talks. I wish I had stayed in closer contact, but, I will see you in Heaven my cousin.

My sympathy and prayers to Adrian's family...I worked with Adrian in the Backus Hospital Lab years ago and I always enjoyed talking with her. She was a genuine, honest person with a great sense of humor. She most certainly will be missed.

Auntie you were always the sternest but kindest in the same vein. You allowed us kids to create a world all our own whenever we were in your care. You protected us without being overbearing with a laugh that echoed throughout the house and filled our hearts with a knowing that we were loved.
